Hello, I'm Larissa "Para" Galarza. I am a San Diego native and a artistic magical girl that loves to create. I enjoy all forms of art and love to learn new skill sets. You can find me tinkering in drawing/illustration, painting, crafting, sewing, costuming, pattern making, designing, and dressing in a way that makes me happy. I really enjoy sharing my imaginative creative journey!

Art in the Community

The past few years I've been fortunate enough to have my work displayed seasonally at local breweries and San Diego Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum.Additionally, you can see my art out in the wild at Super 7 for featured chalk signs and my nerdy greeting cards for sale at my local comic book store, Now Or Never Comics!

Costumes, Cosplay, & Wearables

Cosplaying, costuming, thrift up-cycling, and dressing with a bit more sparkle has always made my heart happy. You can find me every year at San Diego Comic-Con International as that's my home convention, where I love to express myself with the community and dress up! I of course go ham every year for Halloween. I also love to show off my wearable creations at anime conventions, renaissance faires, and most nerdy festive events. Celebrating things I love with people is the highlight of each year for me. Sometimes even if it's not a "costume" I do really enjoy dressing in a theme or stylizing my look to celebrate where I'm off to next.

Volunteering & Offerings with the Community

You can find me in the community!I volunteer and assist running special events with Japanese Friendship Garden, Cleanup Kitsune, Now Or Never Comics and host a weekly Sketch Jam every week. You can also catch me at local Renaissance Faire's trading trinkets!

I love to write about my ideas and processes on my Patreon each month. I enjoy sharing my step by step art projects on social media through YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitch. My hope with each thing I post is to inspire and help people create. I also hope to contribute in being a positive support in the art community.

More whimsy dreamers trade market events soon ~ Stay Tuned!

Whimsy Dreamers Trade Market

First event held on:
Sunday, Sept 14th 2025
from 11am to 3pm
- Hosted by @AngelicPara -

This first event kicked off as a hit gathering over 40 people locally in San Diego to come together to trade collectable toys. With brands from PopMart, 52 Toys, and Minniso coming out with delightful blind box style collectable toys it's a joy to collect but such a bummer when you don’t get the mystery choice you hoped for. Creating this trade market people got to bring your perhaps not favorite collectable toys and exchange them for something else! Anything from Sonny Angel, Labubu, Skullpanda, Molly and more! Stop by our community event to trade and make friends! This event also featured a coloring page station, a friendship bracelet making station and a make your own better station. People came together to bring snacks to share and over all was a wonderful experience to bring like minded people together.Whimsy Dreamers Trade Market will return in the future for more themed trade events. Building a community to enjoy all things second hand and free to enjoy. Follow on Instagram for future updates.
